OR Surgery Manager, $90k - $100k Salary
+ $5000 sign on
+ $5000 relocation
+ 5% annual bonus
 
Purpose:
Provides leadership for the practice and delivery of safe, effective, efficient, ethical, and culturally-competent patient care. This includes oversight of management of human, fiscal, and material resources in accordance with hospital guidelines, organizational/nursing philosophies, and in compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Key accountabilities include fostering interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; using critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate outcome data; designing/implementing performance improvement strategies based on data; and promoting evidence-based practice.
 
Supervisory:
The job requires direct responsibility for a large department or unit of greater than 25 employees. In addition to staff, incumbent directly supervises one or more supervisors and/or assistant managers who assist incumbent with managerial responsibilities. Incumbent has multiple shift responsibilities for staff.
 
OR Deparment Overview:
  • Strong Clinical in various lines
  • Cardiac, Robotic, Ortho, General services (all lines)
  • Tavers in hybrid room (4xmo)
  • Robotic program integration
  • Block utilization with 30-40 physicians and Anesthesia support
  • Focus on Patient safety / Patient experience
  • Trauma Center surgeries, 800/mo
  • 65% outpatient, 35%
  • Endo suite is 125/mo (adjacent facilities)
  • Reports to Surgical Director
  • Expectation to scrub when needed, jump into all areas (clinical strong)
  • 24/7 business, potential to support with call teams
  • M-F, 6A – 6P primary hours
  • Non-Academic Hospital
 
Education/ Requirements:
  • BSN with MSN, MSN can be attained within 5 years of hire
  • CNOR Certification, preferred but not required
  • 3 - 5+ years of OR-Surgery-Periop experience
  • Active RN license in Iowa
